Christina, Blake, Adam and Cee-Lo are all set to come back and uncover more amazing singing talent for us to enjoy every week – and the best part is we wont have to wait long to get it ! While we are just in the early episodes of the mega entertaining second season and there is still much more to come, season 3 is set to fire up this September. So just as we say hello to an all new Voice champion, the gang will be gearing up to find the next group of fantastic talent !

First up I’ve got to go with the mega talented piano playing country singer Nicolle Galyon who was surprisingly not scooped up by Team Blake but instead will battle it out in Adam’s group. He found something beyond her obvious stage jitters and I have to agree. With a little patience and a lot more comfort in front of an audience I can see this little spitfire going as far as her beautiful voice can take her. Come on Adam, coach her up !

My tie for favorite of the week goes to the newest addition to Team Cee-Lo, Jamie Lono. His killer rendition of the Johnny Cash classic “Folsom Prison Blues” was truly inspired. Jamie just may be the #1 talent that Cee has acquired thus far and it will be fascinating to see how far they can go together.

Part 3 started out with a bang right from the start with the identity of the first performer kept from not only judges Blake, Adam, Christina and Cee-Lo but from us at home too ! We heard someone singing Lady Gaga’s  ‘You and I’ with an acoustic guitar but we didn’t get to see a face or find out the performers name was Sarah golden until Cee-Lo decided to push his approval button about a minute into the song. Also, Cee-Lo has a cat now. He brought along with him a fluffy white cat to lay across his lap as he judges the show ! Mr. Lo is definitely entertaining me this year !

While Sarah was great and her song choice was Gaga-rific, I have to give my favorite performer of the week award to Brian Fuente. Brian is from Ridgeland, Mississippi and developed his voice while performing in clubs in between his parents musical shows. I don’t know if I liked Brian’s song the best because of his singing ability or his totally rad choice of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals ‘Paris (Ooh La La)’ but either way he totally won me over. He also won Blake over as well. Brian and his country roots is in great shape for success with Mr. Shelton there to guide him. Overall the performances were awesome across the board !  Bring on episode 4 !

I can’t begin to imagine the pressure that Christina, Adam, Blake and my boy Cee-Lo are under having to pick they’re favs when every week the talent gets stronger and stronger. It’s got to be like trying to pick the most beautiful snowflake ! Thankfully for us lucky fans, their grueling choices mean fantastic entertainment for our little ears and eyes to enjoy !

There were again many standouts on night #2 and I loved (almost) all of the performers, but if I HAAAAAD to pick my number 1 of the night I would have to go with Angel Taylor whose stunning beauty and even more stunning voice during her rendition of Adele’s amazing hit “Someone Like You” made me feel tingly all over. Adam Levine must have felt a little twinge as well because he quickly snatched her up to be on his team. If she is this good her first time out I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the rest of the competition !

This writers favorite audition of episode 1 was also the first audition. 17 year old country girl RaeLynn has the charm, beauty and pipes to make some real waves in this all new Voice season. Her country music sensibilities being honed by Blake Shelton has winning formula written all over it. It’s obviously way too early in the season to predict a winner but Raelynn certainly is worth keeping an eye on.

As with every heart pounding episode of The Voice there is no shortage of amazingly talented up and coming performers to entertain millions. We want to know who got you excited in the first round of auditions and who just didn’t do anything for you.

This is all worth watching if not just for the Javier and Steve Nicks duet which was incredible.
