Singing and music has been a huge part of my life. I literly grew up listening to music and doing little shows for my family. I have written some of my own songs from what i have experienced in life. It’s mostlt tells stories about my life. It would mean the whole world to me if i can be part of the voice and audition. Hi, my name is Vanessa. I am 11 years old and I love to sing. I have been singing mostly ever since I was able to talk! Singing is my passion. I want to get noticed. Even if I don’t get a shot at fame, at least I was famous for a few minutes. That’s okay. Whenever I’m sad,mad or bullied, I listen to music or sing. It’s what calms me down. Anyway I’m saying this from my heart “I love to sing.” Most people say that they like music but I don’t. I love it. It’s like if it’s a part of me or my family. It is my Big dream to become famous or to get noticed.
    Sincerely,
    The girl with BIG dreams.

  5. Lacie Orr says:

Hi, my name is Lacie. I am 21, a new first time mom and I am recently engaged. I keep letting the years pass without picking a career and going to school for it…because I just keep coming back to singing. Singing is my life, and I want nothing more than to make a career out of it. I have interests in alot of other subjects but nothing I want to spend the rest of my life doing. Nothing makes me feel more alive and happy than when I sing. I dont have tons of experience. I sang in my church worship team when I was an early teen and I took choir in High School. That is about it. But I don’t think my lack of musical background should matter. I sing everyday whether it be to my radio or to my little girl. And I would really love a chance to sing for the world and for the judges and see if I really am as good as everyone says I am. I really hope to hear back from you guys! Thank you for your time.

  6. Selina Quiroga says:

I am a single mom who has often fantasized of singing on stage in throughout my life however being married 15 years it wasn’t an option. My husband at the time would often say… Baby who sings this song and I’d say … Oh it’s Etta James well his reply would be.. Let her sing it … Broke me everyday so is hid in the shower or when the family left I’d turn up the radio and sing my heart out. Sadly my marriage ended on mothered day but little sis I know there was a silver lining… Don’t get me wrong , I lost everything I had physically and emotionally and it took a good 4 years to even start to get me back well here am!!! Having met a few precious people that noticed my voice I’ve took it further and have been striving ever since … I’ve done a couple of small shows and recorded a few songs with an indie label but my soul needs more i got my own sound i dont feel lime i sound like anyone other than me but my great idols would be aretha franklin , etta james, betty white … I’ve never been so alive because I’ve allowed music back into my life and I hope I get this chance to sing for you all. No matter what I would just be honored.

  9. Shay Young says:

Hello!! I can truly say that I have been singing literally my entire life. I give all the credit to my mother who I grew up traveling with on her different singing engagements and events. My mother is/has been a choir directress, vocal coach, praise and worship leader, and more and she has trained me in everything she knows. I have been in top notch choirs from childhood to college. Now as an adult I write songs, I play guitar, and though I have many talents such as painting/drawing, poetry, and writing short stories, I am still a singer by default. That is who I am. That is all I know, and I believe that it’s time for me to put my voice to good use by sharing it with the world!!

  10. Christa Parker says:

    A lot of people sing.
But not many people know that is all they have.
I have been singing since a child, and I’ve tried other things as well. Acting, drawing, writing, etc. But nothing feels the same as singing. It’s that spark that ignites the soul. It is what I am meant to do. I am 100% me when I sing and I sing at local karaoke bars just because I enjoy it. Singing has gotten me through so much, and I never give up!

  11. Corey Bullard says:

Arf Arf! Hi! my name is Corey Bullard and I’m a 21 year old red tailed fox from southern California.
My guitar is my only escape from this world I live in. I have been singing and playing for years. I have been neglecting my talents and losing my drive for it recently and now it’s time for a change. Between work stress and lack of time and energy I have been losing it but, now I’m ready to stand up. I have been writing songs like crazy. I want a chance to redeem myself in the world’s eyes and show everyone comedy and guitar playing could be played and enjoyed. I was in Improv all through high-school. I feel people should laugh, cry, sing along, anything to enjoy the moment. You’d be surprised what even a single smile could do for your whole day. I want to show people my work, all my work from funny to sappy. *wags tail* Just give me one second in front of a judge and I’ll make your jaws drop… or ears bleed, we”ll see. Thank you for listening! I hope I get the chance to sing for you and possibly fulfill my life long dreams and desires :)

  14. Azure Marleese says:

    Hello,
I’m 18 and I’m from Anchorage, Alaska. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. I love to sing, like the body needs air. Friends and strangers have told me that when I sing, I make you feel the emotion and meaning of the song. I’ve never formally taken singing lessons. I just graduated from high school and will be going to beauty school in Burbank, CA. Music has ALWAYS been a part of my life. As an infant music being played was the only way to put me to sleep. I grew up as the little girl who knew and sang all the songs she heard on the radio. I would love the opportunity to share my voice with the world and inspire people through my singing.

  15. Marian says:

My entire family is very musical. We all can sing, and my mom sang opera for quite some time. But, I started singing around the house at age 5, in the shower, grocery stores, just about everywhere. I’m now 16 years old, and I’ve been in choir since 7th grade. Last year in 10th grade I was put in the Senior choir as an alto. I can also play the guitar and drums somewhat. So I definately would love to have this oppurtunity to show everyone my voice and see where it leads.

  16. Stacy Burcham says:

    Hello!

I’ve always been a musician, but before I discovered my voice, I was a strong and accomplished trumpet player who entered USC as a trumpet performance major. While there, I sort of fell into singing– I helped found the SoCal VoCals, was accepted into the opera major, and then eventually decided I wanted to make music possible for EVERYONE–so I took my strong instrumental and vocal skills to the classroom and finished with a degree in Music Education (with a vocal and trumpet emphasis).

I am currently the Director of Instrumental Music at Lakewood High School, where I run the Band, Orchestra, and Jazz programs. I have also sung my face off for The Hollywood Bowl, Kristen Chenoweth, Roger Daltry, and pretty much anyone else who has asked.

Although I’ve often thought about auditioning for a singing competition, I have never wanted to audition for American Idol–I don’t think I can (or should) package myself up like a pop princess. I think your show would work for me because the format is so different.

I’ll put some links below, but please email me if you want some song clips!

  17. April Lee says:

Thank you so much for the chance t at my dream of a lifetime! I have been waiting for such a show to come my way! I am very impressed with the wonderful artist lined up to choose a number one artist in such a competition! I cringe every time I see another person have to leave the competition! Starting at a young age, I am a classically trained artist in opera. No stranger to the stage, I have been involved in great undiscovered classi crock/alternative/ and country rock bands, for more than 15 years. It is my calling to sing and perform on stage. This comes from my spiritual influences when I was just a child, to perform and write from my soul. Once voted, one of the top female vocalist in St. Louis Mo,has persuaded me to seek a career in vocal performance on a higher level. Looking forward to meeting you all! Again thank you!
    Sincerily,
    April Lee

10 years old. I wrote and recorded when I was 25 and someone I trusted said that I would never be a professional singer. I believed this A & R person. I’ve been successful in business, but my soul, my passion will always be my singing. It’s possibly my last chance to truly go for my dream. I’m 45, I still have a unique and soulful voice and have every ability to prove that man wrong. Thank you!

  31. Emily Woods says:

Hi. My name is Emily Woods. I am 18 years old, and from North Ogden, Utah. (you’ve probable never heard of it ;) )
I love singing. It’s what I do. I have always wanted to audition for something like this, and I believe now is my time to DO IT!! I am the chubby girl next door, and want to do what I love, and love what I do. I guess words can’t really describe why I want to do this, because I NEED to do this.

  32. Emmylou Dirige says:

I come from a very musically inclined family. I started taking piano lessons at an early age. I started singing in the car and in the shower and discovered another talent I did not think I had. I never formally took singing lessons & only sang in choir in college and with a singing group in my early 20′s. People would say they love the tone of my voice and my vibrato. I’m currently a claims adjuster at an insurance company. I finished nursing school and waiting to take my board exam. Despite all this, music deep down has ALWAYS been a part of my life and always will. I would love the opportunity to share my voice with the world and see where it can take me.
