Hello!
I’ve always been a musician, but before I discovered my voice, I was a strong and accomplished trumpet player who entered USC as a trumpet performance major. While there, I sort of fell into singing– I helped found the SoCal VoCals, was accepted into the opera major, and then eventually decided I wanted to make music possible for EVERYONE–so I took my strong instrumental and vocal skills to the classroom and finished with a degree in Music Education (with a vocal and trumpet emphasis).
I am currently the Director of Instrumental Music at Lakewood High School, where I run the Band, Orchestra, and Jazz programs. I have also sung my face off for The Hollywood Bowl, Kristen Chenoweth, Roger Daltry, and pretty much anyone else who has asked.
Although I’ve often thought about auditioning for a singing competition, I have never wanted to audition for American Idol–I don’t think I can (or should) package myself up like a pop princess. I think your show would work for me because the format is so different.
I’ll put some links below, but please email me if you want some song clips!
Thank you so much for the chance t at my dream of a lifetime! I have been waiting for such a show to come my way! I am very impressed with the wonderful artist lined up to choose a number one artist in such a competition! I cringe every time I see another person have to leave the competition! Starting at a young age, I am a classically trained artist in opera. No stranger to the stage, I have been involved in great undiscovered classi crock/alternative/ and country rock bands, for more than 15 years. It is my calling to sing and perform on stage. This comes from my spiritual influences when I was just a child, to perform and write from my soul. Once voted, one of the top female vocalist in St. Louis Mo,has persuaded me to seek a career in vocal performance on a higher level. Looking forward to meeting you all! Again thank you!
Sincerily,
April Lee

My name is Annette, I am 16, I live in Long Beach Ca. I LOVE to sing, I am also very active with the stage, and always have been. Me and the stage are best friends. Ever since elementary school, I’ve been in chorus, violin, dance, drama, and I was also an anchor for the morning broadcasts in my middle school. I am in high school and I’m in the dance team there. We go to competitions, and go to other schools to perform. I really just want to show the world that you can follow your dreams and do what you want to do in order to succeed, singing right next to dancing are my passions. I’ve also had a lot of experience with many things, I’m a really friendly person. A people-person. and I think its finally time to let time do the talking and auditions do the rocking.

I’ve been singing and writing songs since I was
10 years old. I wrote and recorded when I was 25 and someone I trusted said that I would never be a professional singer. I believed this A & R person. I’ve been successful in business, but my soul, my passion will always be my singing. It’s possibly my last chance to truly go for my dream. I’m 45, I still have a unique and soulful voice and have every ability to prove that man wrong. Thank you!
I have loved singing from the time I was age 2 to present. Also Christina Aguilera is my idol and I have been singing her songs for a long time. I consider myself a good singer and would like to share my talent. This opportunity would be a blessing and something I have always yearned for. Thanks
Im 16 years old and my birthday is in August, right before the LA auditions and it would be the most AMAZING birthday present if i were to get an opportunity like this! Ive always loved singing! It truely is my dream to preform. Ive always wanted to try something like this but I thought “Im too young” but enough with that im excited, confident, and ready to do this!(:
Singing is my passion in life. I started singing at a very early age. I first started in the chruch choir all the way into singing in the Choir for my high school. People are always telling me why im not famous yet, and its simply because I let my shyness get in the way. But now I feel more confindent and stronger than ive ever felt before and this is something that I feel is my calling in life. So here I am…
Hi. My name is Emily Woods. I am 18 years old, and from North Ogden, Utah. (you’ve probable never heard of it
)
I love singing. It’s what I do. I have always wanted to audition for something like this, and I believe now is my time to DO IT!! I am the chubby girl next door, and want to do what I love, and love what I do. I guess words can’t really describe why I want to do this, because I NEED to do this.
I come from a very musically inclined family. I started taking piano lessons at an early age. I started singing in the car and in the shower and discovered another talent I did not think I had. I never formally took singing lessons & only sang in choir in college and with a singing group in my early 20′s. People would say they love the tone of my voice and my vibrato. I’m currently a claims adjuster at an insurance company. I finished nursing school and waiting to take my board exam. Despite all this, music deep down has ALWAYS been a part of my life and always will. I would love the opportunity to share my voice with the world and see where it can take me.
