  4. Lauren Noel Voyles says:

There are so many talented people in this world wanting the same thing, fame and money. In my eyes those are terrible reasoning’s for wanting to be a singer. Some people get this vain thought in there head, they tell themselves that if they become and singer they will live a luxurious lifestyle and become better than others. I cannot stand hearing or seeing people act like that. A few reasons why you should pick me is because I d o not focus on money or fame. My main focus is on the singing and songwriting itself. I am a hardworking person with dedication and drive. The level of passion that I have for singing is unspoken. My goal is to become a known singer, just like others, but instead of focusing on how many new twitter followers I have or how many new youtube views I get, I will be focused on making a difference through my music. I want to connect to people through my music and basically show people that in the music industry it can be hard to stay true to yourself, but that it is possible. I have a strong head on my shoulders and a good family and friend support system to help keep me sane. Please consider me for this competition, I will try my best to not let you down and do what it takes to enhance my singing and performing abilities. I am a 16 year old girl from Blue Springs, MO and am one of many hoping for a shot to become a singer but my drive, if you give me the chance, will be seen differently than most other individuals.

  5. Desiree Bragg says:

My name is Desiree Bragg I am an 18 year old singer. I have been singing since I was 12 years old. Singing is my passion and I love it so much. I live in Martin TN. 6. Gayle Cowan Burton says:

I am 54 years old and have always dreamed of singing professionally. I am 13th child of a teacher and farmer from Mississippi. I have never lived my dreams and that is performing arts. I have been singing since the age of approximately 6 years old and I love it. I know this is for me and I love Nashville and I love country gospel. I trying to start a new life after 33 years of supporting others and not myself. I still love supporting others but I would like to live my dreams also. IT IS NEVER TOO LATE WITH GOD’S HELP.

What God has for me, I know will come.

    Humbly and sincerely yours,
    Gayle Cowan Burton

  7. Mariah Noel says:

Since I was a little girl I have dreamed of singing on stage. But, I’ve never had the courage to take a step that gets me started in the right direction. I have had people tell me since the age of five that I have a wonderful voice. However, I struggle with confidence in a lot of things and compliments are hard for me to process comfortably. But, I believe in reaching for my dreams because there is only one life out there for me to grab. So, why not go for it? I most definitely haven’t had professional training when it comes to my voice, but I am passionate and willing to work. I have many friends that understand the art of music and they tell me I have a voice that fits several styles, some even unique. I am not bragging by no means, but I was wondering if someone could help me out. I would love to come from this small town in North Carolina and become something more, something accomplished. If anybody knows anything, I would love any advice. Thank you!

  8. ZINK says:

When I sang the song by the eurhythmic’s “here comes the rain again” at karaoke I was accused of lip-synching. I had never heard my voice recorded before so I didn’t have any idea that my voice sounded so much like my favorite singer. After hearing how Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox recorded the sweet dreams on an 8 track reel to real in a warehouse I had a chance meeting with Dave Stewart.
He encouraged me to set up my own home recording set up and write and record myself which is exactly what I did. I received my certificate recording engineering and set up my home studio and recorded my solo album entitled ZINK A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER but iTunes and CDBABY.com/Zink2

  9. rachel mccoy says:

  10. Rodriauna and Jetori says:

We are both 12 yrs old and we love to sing we were both in a girls choir before but what really got us motivated us to sing is that we both lost a love one and they both told us to be the best we can be and that is what we are going to do we love to sing soooooooo much that we sing in our dreams

  11. Sydney Brooking says:

I would love an audition for the voice. I am 17 years old and love to entertain. I have always had a passion for music and acting. When I was 2, I was given a plastic kazoo, that had a crack in it, and was able to make a tune that my folks could understand. It seems like if I can’t sing, I hum, it just sort of seeps out of me and makes me happy.

  12. Preston Stockdale says:

Hey guys, my name is Preston Stockdale. I’m from Portland TN, and I love to sing!!, now I’ll be real honest with ya…the reason I would like to audition for the voice, is because for one, it has been a major dream of mine ever since I can remember, to be a performer..singer/songwriter. I play guitar the most, and a little piano..and music has just been what my life revolves around, like I said ever since I can remember..I sing and play all the time and will always consider myself very blessed to have a talent that I love very much. Secondly, is because I just love the show..there’s a reason I choose the voice. When your backs are turned and you don’t know what people look like or move like, just hear the talent they have with their voices, it’s just awesome, I believe that’s what it should be all about..when the actual competition starts..then it’s time to turn on the stage presence and be crazy! there are just a lot of talented people that go through American idol or anywhere else for that matter, that just get shut down because of their look or their weight and etc…I respect that about this show..it gives everyone a chance. I just think it’d be a great blessing and experience for me to start my journey towards my dream with an audition to the voice. Thank you and I’ll cya in Feb!!

  13. sheila griffin says:

I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Billie Suade this summer and heard his CD for the first time. His personality and mannerism is very impressive, like southern style hospitality. I am impressed with his style of music that allows me sway down memory line. I enjoy nice clean music that sends a message to the listening ear. He is a perfect candidate for the voice. He can compete with the best and come out on top. He has a great chance to be one of your top winners.

I have been singing since I was 7 years old. I taught myself how to play the piano at 15 and I’ve been writing songs since then. I’ve been trying to pursue a music career because my gift wasn’t for me to keep it to myself. It was for me to share it with the world. The voice that I have is meant to reach many and touch just as many hearts.
This is an opportunity for me to see my dream come true. The chance to even try out is worth more than gold to me.

  19. Sheila Logan says:

I am a follower of Suade and I reside in Seattle, WA. I travel to the east coast to see and hear Suade’s performances. The breast cancer event in High Point, NC was awesome. 24. Lesli Hammers says:

I love music! Since I was little, I have always been drawn to singing and performing. People told me that I should get into professional vocal training, and I did so. As of now, I perform in various recitals and productions, and love working on advanced material. I’ve performed pop, Italian, classical, and many other genres. If I had a chance to learn more about music from some of the best in the business, I would make the most of my opportunity. I would work hard, and strive for the best. I’m 15 and I would absolutely love the chance to be on the Voice!

  25. Nicole says:

I met a man a few years back, and was intrigued by his voice. His name is Suade, a very smooth, raspy, warm, toe curling voice. Oh yes, the man Suade is as smooth as the name and voice. Suade is very meticulous in tone, pitch and appearance. This man has been singing since knee high and will be an absolute grateful, positive choice for the show…the Voice and any coach that fights to have him on their team.
After years of growing to know Suade, I learned of a life changing moment that took place, but did not take the man, nor his smooth voice. He was electrocuted on the job. He then started supporting his instant family, by doing what he is a natural at doing, singing and writing. We are blessed to still have the man, the voice, the son the husband…Suade!

  26. Dierra Merritt says:

Singing is all I’m able to successfully do. I’ve tried so many avenues in life and I’m simply tired of running from my true passion. I’m 24, life’s too short to try to please everyone and be who they want me to be. I have to be true to myself, be who I am and become what I’m meant to become. Feeling purposeful, being blessed, and being loved are the things keeping me alive. I ache to share my gift with the world, because I don’t want my gift to be taken away. I have so much to offer and so much love to give all through the gift of singing.

  27. kelsey harris says:

  34. Colby Perry says:

Hello there. My name is Colby Perry, and being from a small town of 5,00 people you don’t normally get the chance of something like this. Singing had been in my life since i was a youngster. I grew up in the family singing with my dad and his sisters at our home church and local churches we would visit. Since i have gotten older i have became the country singer i have always known i was. I recently tried out for another competition show and was a qualifier for a few rounds but being that i didnt have the sad sob story of most ahead of me they cut me out to be the next country “IDOL.” Singing is not only a passion of mine but its what i live by, everyone always says i can make a song out a few words, and they are right, what better way to write and sing a song without using your own experiences. (if it touched you or had an impact on you then it will or has had on others as well) Anyway thats a tidbit of why i should be in line for The Voice

  38. Taucha says:

Hi. I’m Taucha. And I have a passion for singing, acting, and modeling. I want to start from the bottom, as a background singer, and work my way up to a celebrity on Disney. I am 13 years old. I have 1 sister and 2 brothers. I also have a single mom. And I’ve seen her struggle my whole life. And I made a promise to myself that when I get older I want to be able to not see her struggle just to keep a shelter over our heads. And my brother has the same promise. He wants to be an NBA star. That is the reason I want to be chosen as a background singer. Thanks a lot !

  41. Regina R says:

    What’s special about me?

    I can sing…

At least that’s what I’ve been told most of my life.

I’m 33 years old. I come from a backwoods small town of Barbourville KY. Born into a family of five girls and poor as church mice. The only instrument my family could afford was the one God gave you.

Today, I’m a stay at home mother of a wonderful and beautiful son. For the past ten years, I followed my husband around state after state in the eastern seaboard as he pursued his career. I’m fat. I’m short. I don’t have a college degree and if I’m honest with myself, have no real world skill other than my self-taught art and my God given voice. (OKay, I can cook a mean spaghetti…)

If I’m chosen for to audition. I can’t promise I won’t be terrified. I can’t promise that my voice won’t shake. But I can promise that I’d sing like it was my last chance.

  42. Jazmyn Crider says:

I have always been passionate about music and enjoyed all different genres. outside if singing in the church choir I never really believed in the reality of possible becoming a popular music artist until recently. since I have begun my journey in college I have wondered more and more what if I had the opportunity, what would it take to make my dreams come true. I feel that I am ready to find out if I qualify and stop asking what if. I felt that I deserve the opportunity to audition for The Voice because I know if I do qualify I will work extremely hard, share my live for music, and concur the competition.

  44. Sarah Owen says:

I am 24 and a mommy of 3! I want to sing for the rest of my life..singing is the most scary & vulnerable thing yet the most freeing feeling all at the same time. No matter what i will always sing because i can’t get enough of that feeling. I am a little white girl, but i can belt it out. I could sing all genres, but what I love for my voice is the singer/song writer feel.. monsters of men, florence & the machine, the lumineers, the civil wars..etc.

Which was 2 place for KRAK Radio this was in the 1984 I was even lucky enuff to be asked to do some back ground work but I couldnt at that time. I had to put my singing carreer aside and I made hard choices that cost me a lot including my 16 son but i have come full circle my farther has also passed away but i can sing the hell out of a heartbreak song and have my own voice althought i still can copy a lot of singers still i dont look my age either.

  55. Kimberly says:

My name is Kimberly. When I was 3 years old, my parents divorced and it was my mom and I up until I was about 14. Music filled the void my father left behind. I sang everywhere, all the time, and for anyone. When I was 13, I was lucky to be picked to sing with the local Radio Disney company in West Palm Beach. I actually got to work along side Cassadee Pope during this time. Then I started singing for spring training games and in competitions in the area. After I graduated high school, I attended community college to focus on getting a degree. In 2011 I was accepted to the University of Florida to pursue my Bachelors. In 2012, I was chosen to sing the National Anthem for our schools homecoming ceremony Gator Growl. I sang on a stage in front of 22,000 people. This was the moment I had been dreaming of, to get the feeling where everyone faded out, and it was just me and my voice. I opened up for Josh Turner and Tracy Morgan and have been yearning to get back on a stage ever since. I want my voice to be heard. I want to share it with the world because it is something that comes from my heart. Audition for The Voice would be a dream come true, and being chosen by one of the coaches would be the best opportunity I could ask for. All I want is the chance. I don’t to go through life knowing I didn’t try. I’m willing and dedicated to follow my dream and I feel that NBC’s The Voice can help take me there.

  56. Archie Beck says:

Hey guys! I “am” the undiscovered VOICE! Some say you may have missed your calling! Not so! That’s why I am here ar 55 years old. I don’t look my age, most folk guess me to be in my thirty’s. I have a youthful but mature voice and I am the next VOICE ! I am confident but not arrogant and would love a chance for you to ask me, “Where have you been all these years”? In a little hick town called Russellville Kentucky about 55 miles north of Nashville Tennesse. Now, it’s time for the world to hear the next Voice. If you will give me that “Missed opportunity”, It won’t be missed anymore because it will be heard through out America and the World via “The Voice”. Thank God for shows like the Voice that don’t discriminate on the basis of age, ect. When we discriminate, we don’t know what we are missing. I have what it takes to be the next Voice if you will only give me that “Misses Opportunity”. I will definitely seize it! Ready for the competition, had 55 years of practice! What more can you ask for except, “Would you like to audition for the voice?” Can’t wait to hear from you!

  57. Amanda Freeny says:

    Hello,

My name is Amanda Freeny. Most people call me Mandy. I have been involved in music since age seven when I began playing the piano. At age 14, I began to sing in church. My grandparents then enrolled me in voice lessons and I have been singing ever since. When I graduated from high school, my dream was to move to Nashville and try to make it in the music business. My grandparents (who raised me) were against it and wanted me to go to college. I now hold a bachelor degree in voice and piano and a masters degree in piano pedagogy. Now, I teach music/show choir in the public schools and love it. A part of me just wonders if I really could have made it. So, at the request of my aunt, I am taking a giant leap out of my comfort zone and asking to be considered to audition for the voice.

    Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Mandy Freeny

  59. Anthony says:

well this is actually Tony’s wife, Tonya & I feel my husband needs to be heard! He has sang since he was 17 (he is now 40) & he/we have been asked millions of times “why are you here?” we always say our family is here & getting noticed is being in the right place at the right time & heard by the right person. Well waiting & praying isn’t working so I am putting him out there. 3yrs ago (at 37)my husband had an aortic dissection & they had to replace part of his arota & he still has 4 tears that are glued, can’t be replaced. After his surgery he started having seizures again, after not having one in over 7 yrs. So needless to say Singing is all he can do now, which is ok because he loves it & people Love him, but he is on a 50lb weight restriction for the rest of his life & can’t go back to construction.
Anyway my husband is a great man, Father,& grandfather with an amazing talent & needs to be heard. Thanks for Listening :)

  78. Michael Cagle says:

HI!!have always had one dream.. one goal… and one desire.. and that is to sing on stage and have my talents make a difference in people’s lives.
Everything I have ever done- schooling, and career-wise has been in pursuit of attaining my dream.
I do not think I am the best singer out there. That is just foolish! I do believe when I get on stage, something happens. People of all ages and races, and sexes are drawn into what I do. And the response from audience members is CONSISTENTLY, OVERWHELMINGLY ENTHUSIASTIC.
Its because people are drawn to passion and honesty. I have spent my life singing and performing that way. I leave it all on the floor!! Now some other singers have had issues with me and told me I shouldnt ever sing.. that its not for me… that I am too much!!
I disagree. Singing and performing is like any other occupation. If you dont give 100% you will never be at the top of your craft!
I can only tell you.. all my life I have lived for one chance– America would give me that chance!
    I

  87. Rachel Anderson says:

I was born to sing. I live singing music of any kind. I am on my school choir and have had several solos in it already. Singing and music are my entire life. I eat live an breath music. I have always said that I want to be a professional singer, but my parents say that there r too many singers already abd that there is a slim chane of me making it. Well I want to prove ten wrong, by winning singing contests. I would love to be on the voice to show people what I can do and even if you are alone on your dream, to not give up because it will happen.

  88. Rick in Tennessee says:

Because you need some “baby boomers” that can sing. Plus, we’re runnin out of time at 57 (but look WAY younger)…of course. I sing pretty good, but unfortunately it’s like other people and the world’s already got a “Trace Adkins” but my wife, “Tutti” sounds good as herself. She has terrific range and vocal quality and was born with it. She could have “made it” but got stuck with me. I do sing good harmony tho. There’s a video I made on her Facebook page, “Denise (Tutti) Stokes”, of her singing on a tape I made years ago of “Love is Alive” or on YouTube under “Accelerator Magazine”. We were HUGE back in the day at weddings and funerals…just sayin. I would really like to see her get a chance to show her talent and her voice is better now than when she was young. I know folks our age are not considered very “commercial” but our age group could really use somebody to root for. We’re only a couple of hours from Nashville so that oughta be worth a couple of points. I know her singing is good enough, she’s pretty, photogenic, witty as hell and most of all deserves a break for bein married to me for 38 years. (she gets bout 800 years credit for that) So think about it, have your people call my people, we’ll do lunch. Don’t really want to knock a young person out of their dream but you could make an older person’s dream come true too. Sorry for long post, PTSD, I can’t shut the hell up. Tutti runs our business, I work in law enforcement, and as Medic and security contractor here and many other countries. After 30 years of it, it’s takin it’s toll. Ya’ll be safe AND at least pick one real southerner to sing some real country/rock. Well, Lauren Allana is from here so guess that’s covered. Good luck to all the other posters and hang in there. NEVER let the dream die.

  89. Brittany Nichole Owen says:

From the age of 5 I was asked every year up until I was fifteeen to sing “Oh Holy Night” for my entire church around Christmas time. I was asked to join the adult choir also. I was in my elementary schools choir my fourth and fifth grade year (we werent allowed to be in it until fourth) and I did chorus my sixth, seventh, and eighth grade years. In elementary school I always had a solo in every show we preformed. In middle school I tried out for the school play and was told I would have gotten the lead role, but I was also a cheerleader, so they gave me a small role instead because I couldn’t make all of the practices. in eighth grade I was asked to sing the Star Spangled Banner at three football games and two basketball games. Every year since I started high school the chorus director has been asking me to join, but I still haven’t. I’m now a senior and I’m home schooled. I think I have the talent to sing in a show and prove to everyone I’ve got what it takes.

  90. Tina Fielder-Gibson says:

I started singing in my late 20′s,because my friends said I had a nice voice. Over the past 30 years I have sung in many contest, weddings, funerals, bands and of course church. I would love to have the chance to show that I still have the chops at my age. Peolpe always ask me why I hadn’t made singing a career, maybe I needed the voice to give me a chance to live my life’s dream.

  91. Lexi Larsen says:

I love the Voice! I believe that this is the best TV show for singers because you look beyond the surface to the heart of the singer. I have been singing as long as I can remember and I have followed my dream here to Nashville, leaving my family and friends back in Ogallala, Nebraska. It has been a difficult road to follow but I can’t imagine any other life for me. I am ready, all I need now is a chance to show the world!

  93. Dani Miura says:

I have done musicals since the age of 7. I have traveled from Chicago to LA, from LA to Nashville, to pursue my dreams. When I realized that singing was a part of my life, and my passion for singing was slowly being killed in LA because of a pressure to fit into a “mold” I knew it was time to leave and find my dreams in Nashville. I am 4’10 and 90 lbs and most people can’t believe a powerful R & B/country voice can come out of someone as small as me. If you are looking for someone different with a different type of voice, than I am the talent you should consider.

  94. chynna mcfarland says:

Hello I am Chynna McFarland and music is my LIFE!!! I am from Nashville Tennessee (born and raised).I am 18 years old and I am starting college in August I have been singing since sound was able to come out of me. I apparently used to sing about cracks in the sidewalk and tieing my shoes I don’t claim to be the best but I claim to be one of the best that I have. Known personally so please consider me for The Voice because Youtube. Just isn’t cutting it anymore. Thank you so very much

  95. Alison Ariel says:

  98. Mackenzie Sirmans says:

Hi! My name is Mackenzie Sirmans. I am from the small town of Douglas, GA! I believe that i should be chosen for The Voice Casting Call because I deserve the chance to show America that you don’t have to have the perfect “look” to have the perfect VOICE! My passion for music started as soon as I could talk. I was given the glorious gift of being able to sing. On stage, I will become anyone i want to be. I sing Rock, Pop, Country, Classical, and many other genres with ease. It just comes natural to me. I could go on and on trying to get you to understand how I sing but you will never know until i get that chance to stand on a stage and show off MY VOICE to THE VOICE! This is my once in a lifetime chance to show America that a small town girl from nowhere GA with a big voice and a big heart can have what it takes to become THE Voice!

  99. caren says:

I have sung and wrote music my entire life. After pursuing a music career in Atlanta, L.A. and NYC, I was so discouraged because of all the negativity and cut throat attitudes from so many people in the industry. I eventually lost my passion and felt it wasn’t worth selling my soul JUST to get a record deal. Now with your show, you are allowing REAL TALENT to be able to be heard without all the gimmicks…just a true voice which is what I have.
